Dove Hunting:
Texas Location: Marfa & Brackettville Ranches
Natural Species: Mourning Dove, White-Winged Dove
Country of Origin: North America
Invasive Species: Eurasian Collared Dove, Rock Dove, Inca Dove, Columbidae, Ruddy Ground-Dove
Country of Origin: South America and India
Massive populations of different species of doves can be found on our ranches. Many of the mature doves are big after feeding in Kansas and Oklahoma. They migrate to our area to feed on Dove Weed, which is their favorite food.
Dove hunting is available at both our Marfa Ranch and our Brackettville Ranch. Our accommodations are clean and comfortable and have luxuries that are not commonly found in such a remote hunting camp. We can accommodate large groups as well as small groups.
The ranches are located in the Texas Central Zone for Dove Hunting with a season opening date of September 1st. Daily bag limit is 12 birds and possession limit is 24. The doves can be found everywhere but greater concentrations can be found in areas around our water stations. Our guests enjoy an extremely high success rate with most bringing home their bag limits.
